Happy Mother’s Day to All Dog Moms from the Talking Cane Corso TuxnDog

It’s Mother’s Day, and I got a “Happy Mother’s Day, I love you” greeting in English… from my Cane Corso.

These days, we treat our dogs more and more like our kids. But who actually gives their dog the freedom of speech—with AIC buttons, no less?

Well, I did. What started as a scientific experiment turned into something that feels almost supernatural—a deep, evolving relationship with my dog, TuxnDog.

She now communicates all her needs through her talking dog buttons. And I respond instantly—not just because I love her, but because quick reinforcement helps her learn how powerful her words can be.

Over 1,000 videos later, I’m convinced: dogs are far more intelligent than most people give them credit for. Today on Mother’s Day, TuxnDog shared her message in a playful skit. She pressed her buttons to say, “I love you, Mahma. You make me happy. Happy Mother’s Day,” and even thanked me when I called her sweet.

But that’s not all she says. You can see it in her eyes—like there’s a child behind them. She’ll make you laugh… and maybe even tear up a little.

In this video, you’ll see a different side of TuxnDog. She’s soft-spoken, almost poetically convincing. That’s a sharp contrast to her usual vibe—barking out things like “Get to crack’n!” along with “Hurry up,” “I need it now,” and her personal favorite: “If not now, when?”

And don’t get me started on her “room service” button. That one flips a switch—suddenly, she’s a full-blown Karen. It’s like the button comes with its own power surge. One second, she’s sweet; the next, she’s sassy in three languages:

  • English (via her Talking Gizmos)
  • Corsonian (her native Cane Corso dialect)
  • Body language (her deadpan stare says it all)

She’ll fire off a string of demands, then freeze in a stoic glare that cuts straight through me.

Meanwhile, I’m jumping to her every command—for the sake of science, of course… and bonding. (Also, I’ve enjoyed the unexpected weight loss from running to and fro. Ha!)

So today, I’m grateful. Grateful that my only child—though she’s a dog—has enriched my life, returned my love tenfold, and somehow made “Mom” the most rewarding title I could carry.

Every day, she cracks me up with her button combos, starts hilarious conversations, and yes—sometimes presses just to stir the pot. From silly arguments to surprising insights, the bond we share reminds me that motherhood comes in many forms.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the dog moms out there—especially the ones whose dogs are learning to talk back.

Whether your Cane Corso is learning buttons or just learning to listen, the connection we share with our dogs goes beyond words. But when those words do come out… it’s unforgettable.
